Today, we filmed the final river scene, edited the film and recorded sound. The filming process went smootly, however, I had to bring along my young Niece and Nephew which made filming abit challenging as they got bored quickly and started to photo bomb the scenes! This ment that the final scene was abit rushed so there could be some shots that were not perfect! When we got home we began the process of naming all the clips and editing the rest of the footage. One problem we had with this was that we needed to be able to watch the film to record the extra sound properly and the computer was continuously freezing which meant that we had to wait hours for the film to export. This was very agrivating as we had to wait it out. Finally, we began to start sound recording. I learnt how to use the sound box and the microphone and we used the ipad to act out movement from the film. i.e. washing face, making coffee and placing newspaper on the table. This wasnt very organised and I was worried it would take forever for us to edit the sound to match the film. However, upon adding the newly created sound clips, I found that I had matched the sound correctly and it was easy to slip the sound clips in and match the action on screen. Finally, I did some final colour correction to the footage using After effects and Premiere - I added a cool tone throughout the whole film but keeping the red and blue colour of key clothing and making them brighter. I was really happy with this as it was my original idea to have the film in black and white with pieces in colour. The film is finally done!! YAY!
