Analysis:

From my questionnaire, I can see that a majority of the responses were from Females. It was interesting to see the responses as usualy horror films are targeted towards younger male consumers. The age range was quite wide, although a majority were from peopleaged 15-18, which is my target audience. When it came to asking the persons favourite genre of film, horror was the second last which was a bit of a surprise for me as I love horror films. This is quite normal though as from research on feature length films, Horror films are usually not as successfull as genres such as blockbusters such as 'The Avengers' or teen films like 'The Hunger Games & Twilight'- Ithink that there is a niche fan base for horror films although occasionally, they can reach a mass level i.e.'Paranoral Activity, The Conjuring or Friday the 13th'.

 

Then I asked about how often, if they do, watch short films. Surprisingly, a majority said yes, although this might be due to the fact that the survey was answered by a lot of other media students, but even though a majority said yes, there was still a significant ammount of people who occasionally watched or did not watch short films at all. This tells me that people are still unaware of short films and are not regularily consumed like feature length films.
