1. Initial Idea's

I have been heavily inspired by the feature length horror film 'It Follows' as it is an interesting horror that is very differerent to mot current horror films as it relies on atmophere and tension to scare its audience over jump scares and conventnions that are in every single horror film. Also, I really like the unique premise of the film. My initial ideas for the plot of my film is to have some kind of supernatural element. I want there to be lots of isolation scenes and extreme long shots.

For a plot, I am experimenting and exploring with looking at some kind of accident in which a character is haunted and followed by a presence. With the presence representing the characers guilt and their depression.

Another idea is to have some kind of haunted location where people go missing. Such as an underpass or a bridge. This could also be interesting to explore as a presence is not seen, it can be made more scary.

Other notes are that I am keeping into considertion are; the limitation of certain locations, limitation and reliability of actors, budget, and the equipment I have.

In terms of location, I am very sure that I will be filming in Harlow, Essex, as I have family who ive there and I can get the help of my brother in law when filming. - Due to this, it is not practical to assume that I would be able to get actors and stay there for a period of time... Therefore I am considering wether there should only be 1 or 2 characters and if I should act in it myself. The limited characters would not be a problem as it is a convention of horror to include isolation.

At this point, I am also heavily influenced with classic horror music i.e. synth ambient music.
